Silicea - the key to natural health and beauty.

What is silicic earth / silicic acid?
From rock crystal to diatoms - it is all around us.

Silicon is the second most common element on earth. In nature, silicon is never found in its pure form, but always in combination with oxygen as silicon dioxide.

In combination with water, it is referred to as silicic acid. This is found in the structures of tiniest marine organisms, the diatoms, which already existed in the earth's original ocean, the "Urmeer", 80 million years ago. The skeletal structures of the dead diatoms settled on the ocean floor, accumulating to form huge deposits.

What makes silicon dioxide and silicic acid so special is their high binding capacity.

Colloidal Structure - The particle size makes all the difference

Silicic acid tends to form very large particle complexes that are difficult to absorb by the human body. Contrary to siliceous earth, silicic acid gel contains silicic acid particles, a compound of silicon, oxygen, and water, in microdispersed (colloidal) form.

This colloidal form describes a state between solid and liquid. This means that silicic acid particles can form a compound with water without fully dissolving in it. The colloid contains tiny particles of silica. The small particle structure facilitates penetration of the intestinal wall and absorption. Thus silicic acid and the silica contained therein can be utilized optimally well by the human body.
The major difference between the powder form of siliceous earth and the liquid form of silicic acid gel is the size of the particles within the compounds.

In the gel, they are 1800 times smaller than in siliceous earth. The effect is comparable with a gym ball rather than a grain of sand trying to pass through the intestinal wall to reach its destination.

Original Silicea Balsam Gel...
a natural choice for beautiful, healthy hair, smoother looking skin and stronger fingernails
Man's quest for eternal youth is as old as time. Day after day, life leaves its marks on our body. This is why it is important to counteract the ageing process. By means of treatment from within. For more than one hundred years we have known about the regenerative effect of the natural substance silicic acid, which is contained in Original Silicea Balsam Gel in microdispersion without chemical additives such as preservatives or colorants.

True beauty comes from within - Hair

The hair papillae are the centre of hair growth. They are located on the boundary line - invisible to us - between the dermal and subcutaneous skin layers, both rich in connective tissue, on the inside of our scalp. This is where new hair cells are continually produced and pushed outward. A sufficient supply of silicic acid promotes these processes. A deficiency of silicic acid causes the hair to become brittle and dull.
  • This pure mineral nutrient acts at the hair's root
  • At the same time, the production of the keratin protein modules, which human hair consists of, is supported

See what people all over are saying about Silicea
"Silicea - for me it was like a miracle."

"I am 54 years old and have had hair problems as long as I can remember. One day, I started shedding increasing amounts of hair. Finally, I had my hair cut short and only ventured into public wearing a head scarf, because by now I had so little hair left that my bald scalp was clearly visible at the front.

I have now been taking Original Silicea Balsam regularly for about three years and I have the beautiful hair I had been dreaming of all my life. Also, my skin has become much firmer and elastic in those places where it tends to quickly become flabby in us women.

My self-confidence and zest for life have improved tremendously thanks to Original Silicea Balsam."
Marianne S.

"I tried all kinds of products to fight cellulite, all to no avail, until I found Silicea."

"After being pregnant my stomach lost shape and at 40, my upper arms started getting flabby, I had spider veins on my legs and a few pounds on my hips. I started wearing pants only.

I found a report that said Original Silicea Balsam combined with physical exercise had produced sensational results. So I started running on a regular basis and took a dose of Original Silicea Balsam every day.

After about six weeks I did notice a change: The withered, sallow skin of my face looked brighter and smoother and felt softer. And even better: The skin along my backside, thighs, stomach and arms was becoming increasingly firmer. I am convinced that I owe all this to Original Silicea Balsam... it's my personal beauty formula!"

Ready for the challenge? - The Skin

The skin is the largest organ of our body. In adult humans, it can cover a total area of 1.5 to 2 square metres and weigh up to 10 kilograms. It offers protection and is a first shield against foreign bodies and pathogens. And it breathes and prevents our organism from dehydrating. A sensitive structure with important functions that requires good care and maintenance.

Skin Health Benefits

  • Silica's high capacity to bind water molecules (300x its molecular size) helps to keep the skin tissue hydrated and firm, promoting smooth, youthful looking skin while helping to prevent wrinkles
  • Transport of nutrients to the skin's cells
  • Supports formation of connective tissue fibers, collagen and elastin
Taken orally to improve your skin's firmness and beauty, or applied externally to relieve skin irritations and allergies... either way, silicic acid is an important aid.

Silica, when taken orally as a nutrient promoting healthy connective tissue, is a prerequisite for firm, attractive skin and a clear complexion. It strengthens the skin's resistance and regenerative abilities.

Applied externally

Silicic acid gel acts through its large, reactive surface. It has a high binding capacity with a view to pathogens such as bacteria or viruses, rendering them inactive. Therefore, external application is recommended for smaller wounds and injuries such as cuts, abrasions, and scratches, pimples and local skin irritations in connection with allergies. At the same time, the cooling effect of colloidal silicic acid provides soothing relief for burns and sunburn plus minimizes scarring.

Silica - essential for strong connective tissue

Silica is invariably involved where there is a need for stable and elastic structures. Examples from nature are grasses or birds' feathers, which need to be firm but must not break. These same requirements also apply for the connective tissue in the human body. Silica is indispensable in this respect, for it is an essential nutrient for all connective tissue, which also includes tendons and ligaments.

Silica for firm skin

As we grow older, the level of silica in certain tissues such as blood vessels and skin drops, weakening the connective tissue and causing cellulite. This is a phenomenon found primarily in women. The reason is that the top layers of skin, in which the connective tissue is located, are by nature thinner in women than in men. Moreover, the female fat tissue consists of larger, only loosely networked structures that store fat more easily. This promotes the "orange peel" appearance. However, there is a way to prevent this from happening.

Silica supports the production of collagen and elastin in your body. Collagen makes the skin firm. Elastin keeps the skin elastic and supple.

Tough as nails - Fingernails

Like hair, fingernails are outgrowths from the skin. They are not only the "hard" version of the topmost layer of horny skin cells, but also our personal calling card. For our hands are always at the centre of attention. Our hands can only look their very best and, at the same time, be as tough as nails if our body receives a sufficient supply of vital substances.

In this context, silicic acid plays an important role.
  • The growth of healthy connective tissue is promoted, in particular the thick layer of epithelium skin which makes up the nail bed.
  • The keratin protein filament network is reinforced, making the fingernails stronger.

Nail Health Benefits

  • Strengthens nails
  • Good supply of nutrients to the nails
  • 5 to 6 months is needed to see the positive influence of silica on nail growth and strength

Because nails grows so slowly, i.e. a new nail takes 5-6 months to grow out fully, a treatment over a period of at least 6 months is recommended. After this time, the positive effects of the silicic acid will become visible.
