Lana Holmes

A graduate of the University of Western Ontario/The Richard Ivey School of Business in Business Administration, Lana began her career in Product Management with Colgate Palmolive, working on a range of product assignments from Assistant Product Manager through to Group Product Manager. While there, she also established and ran the first Consumer Relations Department in Canada, involving Public Relations and Media on-air interviews.

As Vice-President, Account Director with Grey Advertising, she was responsible for the planning and implementation of programs for packaged goods manufacturers, as well as many other types of businesses.

As Vice-President, Client Services for Instore Focus, Lana was instrumental in developing all aspects of the company from its inception to a multi-million dollar company, leader in the industry. Clients included virtually every major packaged goods company, marketing board and retail food chain in Canada.

As Principal of Lana Holmes & Associates Ltd., she has provided marketing consulting services from strategic planning to hands-on promotion execution for packaged goods and other clients, directly as well as through advertising agencies. Clients have included the Bank of Montreal, the Ontario Apple Marketing Commission, Vickers & Benson Advertising/Arnold Worldwide, Grey Advertising, Human Resources Development Canada and the Canadian Tourism Commission.

Lana has also worked with Booth Associates on the execution and analysis of numerous client satisfaction surveys involving extensive interviewing of senior executives in a broad spectrum of industries.

The firm has also developed and marketed environmental educational software, The Green Challenge, which has received accolades from environmental organizations and educators, including the United Nations. It was nominated for The Financial Post Environment Education Awards.

Pete Culverhouse

A graduate of Trent University (Peterborough, Ontario), Pete has extensive experience in web design, programming and infrastructure, gained from over twenty years in the software consulting industry.

As Senior Applications Architect at the Markham (Ontario) offices of the global company i2 Technologies, Pete was responsible for the user interface design of their Transportation Management applications. (i2 produces logistics and Enterprise Resource Planning software for the Internet.) Prior to that, as Senior Programmer Analyst for Syntax Systems, Pete worked to develop and support the company's AS400-based distribution products. Pete also worked as a programmer/analyst for Tailored Systems and Melitta Canada Inc.

Pete has expertise in current Internet design and implementation techniques and enjoys keeping up with the latest changes in technology. He is the webmaster for LHA's VegE-News at www.vege-news.com.
